Questions we get asked
- What does it cost to rent The Serene Veranda for a month?
- A 28-night stay at The Serene Veranda in St. Augustine Beach, Florida runs about $4,200 to $5,600 depending on the season, which works out to $150–$200 a night. Winter, from December through March, sits at the top of that range. That price is all-in — there is no service fee, cleaning fee, or booking fee added at checkout.
- What is included in the price?
- Everything. The quoted rate for The Serene Veranda covers cleaning, taxes, high-speed Wi-Fi, all utilities, and linens, plus weekly hot tub service, regular lawn care, and a complimentary mid-stay cleaning. Nothing is added on afterward.
- What is the minimum stay?
- 28 nights. The Serene Veranda is rented by the month to snowbirds, executives on relocation or sabbatical, and visiting academics. It does not take nightly or weekly bookings.
- What dates are available?
- The calendar on the Check availability tab at leelcollection.com shows live availability and the exact all-in price for any 28-night window. The winter snowbird season, December through March, is the one that books earliest.
- Where exactly is the house?
- The Serene Veranda is in St. Augustine Beach, Florida 32080, on Florida's northeast Atlantic coast. The beach is a ten-minute walk from the front door — one of the few in Florida where you can drive a four-wheel-drive vehicle onto the sand. Historic downtown St. Augustine, the oldest city in the United States, is about eight miles north.
- How many bedrooms are there and how many people can stay?
- The Serene Veranda is a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom single-family house, built new in 2025, that sleeps up to 6 people. One king bedroom and two queen bedrooms. Maximum occupancy is 6 including children.
- What does the house have?
- A private hot tub, a fire pit with Adirondack chairs, a hammock, a grill, and a fully fenced private backyard under live oaks and palms. Inside: 25-foot vaulted ceilings, a stone electric fireplace, a full kitchen with butcher-block counters, in-unit washer and dryer, smart keyless entry, a Bose sound system, and a 3-car carport.
- Can I work remotely from the house?
- Yes. The Serene Veranda has a dedicated workspace with a desk and an external monitor, plus high-speed Wi-Fi throughout. It is set up for guests on a two- or three-month working stay.
- Are pets allowed?
- No. The Serene Veranda does not accept pets of any kind, and smoking, vaping, and cannabis are not permitted inside the house. Both rules are firm.
- Why is this house not on Airbnb or VRBO?
- The owners rent The Serene Veranda directly and deliberately keep it off the public marketplaces. Guests deal with the two people who own the house rather than a platform, and because there is no marketplace service fee — typically 15 to 20 percent for a guest — the same stay costs less booked this way.
- How do I know this is a real house and a legitimate rental?
- The Serene Veranda is owned and run by Gabor and Ildi, who answer every message themselves. They will do a video call before any money changes hands so you can see the house live and see who you are dealing with. Every stay is covered by a signed lease, payment runs through Stripe rather than a wire transfer, and guests go through a standard TransUnion SmartMove screening that the owners pay for.
- How do I book it?
- Pick your dates on the Check availability tab at leelcollection.com and send a request — no payment and no commitment at that stage. The owners reply personally within 24 hours, and from there it is a conversation, a background check, and a lease. There is no instant book.
